1996 $20 Premium Federal Reserve Set - #00000308 - The 8th SET ISSUED!

Price: $1095

June 28, 1999 saw the release of the first Premium Federal Reserve Sets in U.S. history. The sets, both low-numbered and serial-number matching, consisted of twelve $20 notes with each note representing one of the 12 Federal Reserve Districts. Until then, it was impossible to acquire a 12-note matching District Set, all with the same denomination and all from the first run of notes (distinguished by the ‘A’ suffix). In effect, the launch of these Sets turned a collector’s wildest dreams into reality.

Limited to just 2000 sets, the $20 Premium Sets, which represented the first Premium Sets ever issued by The Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP), began with Serial #00000301.

The enclosed Certificate of Authenticity, which is hand-numbered and included with each Set, confirms that this is the 8th $20 Premium Federal Reserve Set issued. Since the $20 Premium Sets are the first Premium Sets issued, not only is this set among the lowest numbered of the $20 Premium Sets, but is also historically among the very first of all Premium Sets ever issued by the BEP.

For those seeking the truly exceptional, this 12-note $20 Premium Federal Reserve Set definitely fills the bill.
